(crap too much antm) and now that you mention it, there really isn't a good reason that she's not in front. maasa, for all her incredible maasaness, isn't the best performer and captain seems mildly allergic to attention. but chinami's got it all. she doesn't have the idioscyncracies of the three out-and-out frontgirls, but imo she should be featured at least as much as yurina. chinami just raced up my rankings recently. she’s great fun and has the sunniest smile. and it never looks forced. i also love how oblivious and hilarious she can be.

I've always wondered she wasn't one of those promoted so much when Berryz were first starting out? Although I didn't really see the giggling fit you mentioned in Gag 100kai bun. I thought that was really just part of the choreography. It's not unlike Chinami to make hilarious and out-there faces while performing.
